MSK MRI Workshop - AGTEN Radiology LTD
Activity Date: November 15, 2025 - November 16, 2025
Activity Type: Live CE: 10 total credits
This activity offers 10 CE credits for:
1. Physicians (AMA PRA Category 1™)
FACULTY:
Christoph Agten, MD
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LEARNING:
This is a 2-day interactive, in-person workshop designed to enhance MSK MRI interpretation skills through systematic, case-based learning. The activity consists of multiple sessions covering all major joints (knee, hip, foot & ankle, shoulder, elbow, and wrist & finger), delivered through a combination of didactic presentations and extensive interactive DICOM case reviews. The format emphasizes hands-on learning with live case discussions where participants actively identify findings and receive real-time expert feedback. The workshop includes dedicated Q&A sessions throughout, culminating in a 45-minute Final Q&A Session on Day 2. An optional 5-week online support component is available post-workshop, allowing participants to submit their own clinical cases for review and feedback. To claim continuing education credits, participants must attend the full in-person workshop and complete the post-activity evaluation survey. Throughout this course, learners will master a systematic search pattern for interpreting MSK MRI studies of all major joints, improving both diagnostic confidence and reporting efficiency.
STATEMENT OF NEED:
A significant practice gap exists in MSK MRI interpretation where radiologists frequently employ non-systematic, "spot-reading" approaches rather than performing comprehensive, structured evaluations. This leads to inconsistent diagnostic "calibration"—a gap in sensitivity for correctly identifying and reporting findings—which is exacerbated by the lack of consistent feedback in modern teleradiology environments. The need for this education is validated by multiple sources: high learner demand demonstrated through the course director's 29,000+ YouTube subscribers and 300+
graduates of his Virtual MSK Fellowship, the trend toward high-volume reporting environments requiring enhanced speed and confidence, and direct learner feedback requesting post-course support to bridge the gap between learning and practice application. This workshop addresses these gaps through interactive, case-based learning with real-time expert feedback to recalibrate diagnostic sensitivity and establish systematic search patterns.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
After participating in this activity, learners will be able to:
1. Apply a systematic search pattern for comprehensive MRI interpretation of all major joints including the knee, hip, foot & ankle, shoulder, elbow, and wrist & finger.
2. Identify key MSK pathologies with improved diagnostic confidence through enhanced "calibration" of their sensitivity for calling findings.
3. Demonstrate increased reporting efficiency and speed by implementing structured approaches to MSK MRI interpretation in clinical practice.
4. Evaluate complex MSK MRI cases using interactive DICOM review techniques that promote comprehensive assessment rather than spot-reading.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This activity is suitable for Physicians.
This workshop is designed for an international audience of radiologists at all career stages, including radiology residents and fellows seeking structured MSK MRI training, early-career radiologists building diagnostic confidence and speed, and experienced general radiologists wishing to refresh or formalize their MSK knowledge with a systematic approach.
